Community Building Activities
Interested in knowing more about the Bahá’í Faith or simply meeting our community? Please join us every Sunday morning from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. There are classes for children and either a presentation by a community member or visitor or a group reflection on some aspect of the Bahá’í Writings. All are welcome! Our place of worship is at 723 E Border St, Arlington, TX 76010.
Bahá’í communities everywhere offer the following activities:
- Study Circles combine collarative, small-group study with acts of service. The first book in the sequence of ten courses, “Reflections on the Life of the Spirit” concerns prayer, living a moral life and the life to come.
- Children’s Classes help children to understand virtues such as justice and patience through stories, songs, games, memorizing prayers and the use of crafts.
- Devotional Gatherings dedicated to prayer typically take place in homes. People of all beliefs, or no belief, are welcome to participate.
- Junior Youth Groups welcome young people of middle school age (11-14). Assisted by an older “animator”, junior youth groups are aimed at assisting young people to learn about a two-fold moral purpose: to develop one’s inherent potentialities and to contribute to the transformation of society.
